About our advice line

The Kinship advice team are specialists in supporting kinship carers across England and Wales. We can support you wherever you are in your kinship journey.

From thinking about becoming a kinship carer to supporting you as you care for your kinship child or children – we’re here for you.

Life can be overwhelming. We’ll give you advice and information to try and make your life as a kinship carer a bit easier. Kinship is non-judgemental. We’re friendly and we’ll help you navigate a sometimes complex and confusing system.

Our phone line is open from Monday to Friday, 9:30am to 2pm.

You can call us during these hours for free on 0300 123 7015.

Outside of these hours, you can reach the advice team using the form below. One of our advisers will get back to you as soon as possible.

The response waiting time is currently 7 to 14 days. We are working hard to bring that time down, and one of our advisers will get back to you as soon as possible. If you have not received a response from us within 14 days, please check your junk or spam inbox for a reply.
