When Stacy received a phone call to say she’d be taking on the care of her niece, she had just 4 days to prepare.
The lack of support available meant she had to borrow money and get donations to make ends meet. Stacy shares how she doesn’t feel seen in the current system as a kinship carer, and why kinship carers should get the same level of support foster carers get.
