Family and Friends Carers – Kinship Milton Keynes

Are you raising a family members child or friends' child? If you are, you're a kinship carer. Would you like to talk with people in a similar position? This is a group for kinship carers: for aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents, siblings, and friends. Chat with people who understand what it's like to be a kinship carer. The group is for anyone who is looking after children who are not their own. If you have a special guardianship order (SGO) or are in the process of getting one or are considering one this group is for you. If you have, or are considering a child arrangement order (CAO), if you are a kinship foster carer, or if you have no formal arrangement this group is also for you. We are friendly, non-judgmental and have links with social services and the virtual school.

Every Thursday of each month, during term time
9:30am to 11:30am

How to join
Join any Thursday morning during term time, or email kinshipmk@gmail.com to check the group is meeting.

Children
Children sometimes attend the group. There is a small corner within the room to occupy small children if they visit with their carer.
