Plymouth Kinship Peer Support Group

South West England
In person
Online

Run by the local authority, this is a safe and welcoming space for kinship carers in Plymouth, no matter how they came to be kinship carers. We offer whatever carers prefer, from talking space with a cup of tea and a biscuit, to signposting and advice. Our spaces are child-friendly for carers with young children. All kinship carers are welcome.

When?
We meet in person:

  • from 1pm on the first Thursday of the month at Green Ark Children’s centre, PL1 4DW
  • from 11am on the third Monday of the month at Manor Street Children’s centre, PL1 1TL

We also offer an online session on the second Wednesday of the month at 6pm. Email Jessica using the contact details below to get the meeting link.

Who can join?
Any kinship carer in the Plymouth area is welcome. We plan to run special events in the future to include children, however with our support groups this tends to be younger children not in school. Our spaces are child-friendly for carers with young children.
