Peer Support for non-relative kinship carers

Online

This is a safe, welcoming online space for anyone raising children they are not biologically related to - whether through kinship care, informal arrangements or other circumstances. Parenting in these situations can bring unique joys and challenges, and you don’t have to navigate them alone. Our group offers: - Peer support: connect with others in similar circumstances and who truly understand your experiences. - Emotional encouragement: a judgment-free space to just listen or share feelings. To talk about challenges and to celebrate good things. Whether you’re looking for guidance, reassurance, or simply a listening ear, this community is here for you. Together, we can build resilience, share wisdom, and create a supportive network for families like ours.

Special interest groups

As part of developing groups for kinship carers to come together, we heard that some carers would like to meet other carers that they may have additional things in common with, as well as kinship care.

See our other special interest groups.

If you can’t find a special interest group that meets your needs, please contact us at peersupport@kinship.org.uk.
