Parenting Kinship Children group

This group is run by Northumberland County Council Kinship team and is for all kinship carers in Northumberland. This group is a welcoming space to connect, reflect, and catch your breath. Come along to talk about parenting kinship children with connection and confidence, have space to reflect on what helps us stay connected when things feel tough, and have time to think about what children need to feel safe, learn, grow, and recover. Also, find support to make sense of behaviours that sometimes seem confusing, practical ideas to adapt and try out at home in your own way, and a relaxed setting to think, learn, and grow together over time.
