Neurodiversity within kinship families

Online

The group is safe space for all kinship carers who are currently parenting a child with neurodivergent tendencies and behaviours. The group provides the opportunity to share personal experiences, exchange strategies and access encouragement from other members of the kinship community. The group is open to all carers who believe their child may be neurodivergent and no formal diagnosis is needed to join. We hope to invite specialist organisations and individuals in overtime and more information on these speakers will be available within the group.

Special interest groups

As part of developing groups for kinship carers to come together, we heard that some carers would like to meet other carers that they may have additional things in common with, as well as kinship care.

See our other special interest groups.

If you can’t find a special interest group that meets your needs, please contact us at peersupport@kinship.org.uk.
