Keighley Kinship Care Support Group

This group is led by a kinship carer and supported by a Kinship volunteer coordinator. The group is open to all kinship carers in the Shipley area. They are a diverse group with experience and knowledge of different kinships, such as kinship foster care and special guardianship. The group is led by James who is a kinship carer.

This group is led by Kinship staff through our Kinship Connected service, and is open to all kinship carers in the Halifax area. This group aims to build a community of kinship carers who can offer peer support to each other. It is situated inside the cafe at Shibden Park. On summer days we often go for a wander around too.

Kinship Connected is a support service that your local authority has commissioned Kinship to run in your area. It offers kinship carers intensive remote and in-person, one-to-one family support from experienced project workers.
