This group is led by kinship carers and is open to kinship carers in Haringey and neighbouring boroughs. If you are a grandparent, aunt or uncle, sibling or friend raising a child when parents can’t, then you’re a kinship carer and we are here for you. They offer peer support and an opportunity to connect, build meaningful relationships, and meet local kinship carers on a similar journey.

This group is led by Families in Harmony, an organisation run by kinship carers. The group is open to kinship carers of African, Caribbean or Black Mixed Heritage in North London, West London and Essex. We also welcome kinship carers who are non-black, but caring for a Black or Black mixed heritage kinship child. We offer peer support through cultural food/activities/celebrations, advocacy and therapeutic parenting training.

This group is led by Kinship staff and is open to all kinship carers in Islington. The group is a safe space for kinship carers to get together and talk to other carers. We give one to one support to carers who are having issues around kinship care.

Chill and Chat aims to do what it says – to give kinship carers a space to relax and chat to other carers who have shared experiences.

This group is led by a Kinship volunteer who is a kinship carer themselves. The group is open to all kinship carers in South West London. Kinship carers across London are also welcome to join the group.
