Kinship is supported by the players of Postcode Lottery. The Long-term, flexible funding from Postcode Lottery has played a pivotal role in Kinship’s growth and development.
As we enter our tenth year of funding, we want to extend our heartfelt thanks to Postcode Lottery players.
Together, players have raised an incredible £3.6million to date, helping us to ensure kinship carers and the children they care for get the support and recognition they deserve.
Because this funding has been unrestricted, we’ve had the flexibility to invest where it’s been needed most, strengthening our organisation and supporting our long-term growth.
Funds raised by Postcode Lottery players, which are awarded through the Postcode Support Trust, have enabled us to invest in our leadership, communications and public affairs at a pivotal time for kinship care. It has also given us the agility to respond quickly to emerging opportunities and drive forward our influencing and campaigning work, including helping to shape the National Kinship Care Strategy.
The publication of Championing Kinship Care: The National Kinship Care Strategy marked a significant milestone. It not only recognised the unique needs of kinship families but also secured government investment in kinship care, representing a major step forward for the families we support.
With the support of funders like Postcode Lottery, we will continue to campaign with and for our kinship carers, urging government to provide them with the support they need.
