Kinship is supported by players of the Postcode Lottery. The Long-term, flexible funding from Postcode Lottery has played a pivotal role in Kinship’s growth and development.
As we move into our tenth year of funding, we want to say a huge thank you to players of the Postcode Lottery.
Players raise an incredible £500,000 a year to support us in our mission to ensure kinship carers and the children they care for get the support and recognition they need.
By not restricting the funding to a particular project, it’s given us the freedom to invest in our strategic growth and development. We were able to invest in our organisational leadership, communications and public affairs at a critical time for kinship care.
It allowed us to be proactive in our campaigning work and respond quickly to opportunities including influencing the National Kinship Care Strategy. The publication of Championing Kinship Care: The National Kinship Care Strategy is a milestone achievement that not only recognises the unique needs of kinship care families but also included government investment in kinship care.
With the support of funders like the Postcode Lottery, we will continue to campaign with and for our kinship carers, urging government to provide them with the support they need.
