We know that many kinship carers are raising children who have experienced early loss, trauma and attachment disruption and that being in self-isolation at home brings additional challenges for you and them.
We put out a call to psychologists, including Dr Karen Treisman, a Highly Specialist Clinical Psychologist who has worked in the National Health System and children’s services. We’ve taken everything they recommended to create the below resources for you. We will update this as time goes on, but we hope it helps as a starting point for you.

Books
The A-Z of Therapeutic Parenting: Strategies and Solutions (Therapeutic Parenting Books). Written by Sarah Naish this book gives you an easy to follow process to use when responding to issues with your children. It covers 60 common problems, from acting aggressively to difficulties with sleep, with advice on what might trigger these issues, and how to respond.
