Kinship carers are family or friends who step up, often during an unexpected crisis, to care for a child when their parents aren’t able to.

This workshop is open to all kinship carers living in England.

The workshop introduces you to trauma and attachment, which are closely related and often misunderstood. You’ll learn how trauma and attachment affect the children you care for and how you can support them.

"Very good workshop. [It] helps you understand how a child can feel and ways not to fix the trauma but to create safe spaces and help create joy in the child's life."
