Grandparents Plus’ Kinship Connected Islington is our support service for kinship carers and Special Guardians in the London borough of Islington. The service is run in collaboration with the Adoption North London consortium of councils which includes Barnet, Camden, Enfield, Haringey, Hackney and Islington.
Due to the coronavirus we are now running two North London online support groups
- Kinship Connected Zoom Coffee Morning – North London (Barnet, Camden, Enfield, Islington) – Every Thursday at 11am. We use Zoom. Please contact Maxine (maxine.campbell@kinship.org.uk) if you have any questions or would like help getting set up with Zoom.
- Kinship Connected Zoom Chat – North London (Barnet, Camden, Enfield, Islington) – Every Thursday @ 7pm, project worker online from 6.50pm for anyone need help to access Zoom. We use Zoom. Support groups
Islington Carer’s Group
Islington Council runs a monthly support group for Special Guardians and other kinship carers who are caring for Islington children or who live in the borough of Islington. Lunch and childcare are included. Contact Ethel Ibeh on 0207 527 7691 for more information.
