The group has been established under the umbrella of the community group Calmer Therapy, which provides support services to families with children with disabilities in Northumberland and beyond.
Monthly peer-led support group meetings for kinship carers. An opportunity to share experiences and ideas with others living in similar family circumstances in a safe, relaxed and confidential environment.
Meetings are held on the first Thursday of every month from 11am.

The next event relevant to kinship carers will be held on Tuesday 19th March 2019 from 10 am-12.30 pm and is an event in collaboration with the ACE Network NE. It is a talk about the lifelong impact of adverse childhood experiences (ACEs), and a showing of the film RESILIENCE. Refreshments will be provided.
