Kinship Ready
Kinship Ready is our preparatory workshop series for special guardians. The workshops are for those who:
- have had a viability assessment for a Special Guardianship Order but have not yet been granted the order
- are considering a Special Guardianship Order
- have been recently been granted, a Special Guardianship Order.
The workshop content has been developed specifically for special guardians by special guardians, in collaboration with social workers and academic researchers. It’s available in:
- Barking & Dagenham
- Newham
- Redbridge
- Tower Hamlets
- Waltham Forest
Kinship Connected
We work with local authorities across the country to offer support specially designed for kinship carers, including tailored one-to-one family support from our independent, local project workers, support groups and workshops.
We want more local authorities to offer our specialist support for kinship carers and are talking to them all the time. Below are the areas we’re currently working in.

Kinship Active
Kinship Active helps families get active together, have fun and improve your physical and emotional health. In partnership with Middlesbrough Football Club Foundation and Teeside University.
